Opportunity Knocks Live — Terms and Conditions of Attendance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all attendees, participants, partners, and volunteers (“you”) who register for or attend Opportunity Knocks Live (“the Event”), produced by Opportunity Knocks Group (“the Organizer”).
By registering for or attending the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
1. Filming and Photography Consent
Opportunity Knocks Live is a filmed event. By entering the venue, you grant Opportunity Knocks Group, its affiliates, partners, licensees, successors, and assigns the right to record, photograph, and otherwise capture your image, likeness, voice, and statements in any media format now known or later developed.
These recordings may be used, edited, and distributed worldwide for television, film, online platforms, educational purposes, or promotional materials without further notice, review, or compensation.
If you prefer not to be filmed, please notify a staff member at check-in. Designated seating or non-filming areas may be available.
2. Event Participation
Opportunity Knocks Live is a community-centered experience focused on financial empowerment, career growth, and access to opportunity. Activities may include breakout sessions, grant applications, resource fair engagement, interviews, and on-camera participation.
Event programming, schedules, speakers, and features are subject to change without notice.
3. Code of Conduct
Opportunity Knocks Group is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone.
By attending, you agree to:
Treat all participants, staff, and volunteers with kindness and respect.
Celebrate diversity and honor different perspectives.
Use positive and supportive language.
Refrain from harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.
Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the event without refund or recourse.
4. Liability Waiver
By attending the Event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including potential injury, illness, or loss of personal property.
You agree that Opportunity Knocks Group, The Opportunity Initiative, its affiliates, sponsors, and venue partners are not liable for any claims, damages, or losses arising from your participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
5. Mini Grants, Giveaways, and Prizes
All grants, giveaways, and prizes provided during the Event are offered at the discretion of Opportunity Knocks Group and its sponsors.
Selection processes are final and non-appealable. Awards are non-transferable and may be subject to eligibility verification or completion of additional documentation. No purchase or payment is required to participate. Winners may be required to sign a release form prior to receiving funds or prizes.
6. Accessibility and Medical Notice
Opportunity Knocks Group strives to provide an accessible and inclusive experience for all participants. If you require special accommodations, accessibility support, or have allergies or medical conditions, please notify event staff during registration or upon arrival.
While all reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate disclosed needs, Opportunity Knocks Group is not liable for conditions not communicated in advance.
7. Changes, Postponement, or Cancellation
Opportunity Knocks Group reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel all or part of the Event at any time due to weather, safety, production requirements, or other circumstances beyond its control.
In such cases, notifications will be made via official Opportunity Knocks channels, including email, Eventify, and/or on-site announcements.
No refunds will be issued for free or complimentary registrations. Paid admission may be refunded at the discretion of the Organizer.
8. Use of Personal Information
Personal information collected during registration, participation, or post-event surveys may be used by Opportunity Knocks Group and The Opportunity Initiative to:
Communicate event updates and post-event follow-ups.
Connect attendees to local resources and partner organizations.
Measure community impact through aggregated, anonymized data.
Personal data will never be sold. It may be shared only with authorized partners involved in the Event’s delivery and impact reporting.
You may unsubscribe or opt out of communications at any time using the link provided in our emails.
9. Intellectual Property
All content presented at Opportunity Knocks Live—including but not limited to videos, photography, materials, logos, presentations, and digital assets—is the property of Opportunity Knocks Group or its partners.
These materials may not be copied, recorded, reproduced, or redistributed without prior written consent.
10. Minors
Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
By bringing a minor to the Event, the parent or guardian consents to the filming, photography, and participation of the minor under the same terms outlined in Section 1.
11. Agreement
By registering for, entering, or participating in Opportunity Knocks Live, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree, please do not attend the Event.
